We understand the it is human nature to resist change however we finally get an outlet to vent just what is really happening in our communities.
Most of us love Tom Joyner however they would not make changes in the Coon type Jokes and what is now considering Racist jokes by his staff and TMJS can not afford our local Communities the voice we need at such a crucial time.
This petitioner stated that Corporate will not fund WQMJ/97.1 now but we are certain that this station has taken all this in consideration.
It doesn't take much for anyone to just listen to the time-slot 6 am til 10 am with "Busta Brown" to see that majority of the listeners are extremely excited to have the new format which is very engaging and WOW who doesn't want a chance to win $1,000 daily? They give a voice equally to all points of view.
Tom Joyner does much for HBCUs and we are grateful for that and he does many other things as well however with the President's Plan for Free Schools and the 2016 Candidates are voicing the need to educate our people for free there will be less of a need for that degree of financial funding.
Just when we as North Carolinians have the most regressive laws against people of color we must have a way to get the word out. We are being attacked in our Education, Housing, Economic, & Voting Rights as people and we are extremely grateful that WQMJ/97.1 Radio Station is giving the people that voice along with music that is much the same era.
I can't help but think about the people that help hurt or kill or further oppress our people to design a petition or make a campaign to stop the progress of Black people.
Consider what I have said and tune in every morning to WQMG/97.1 to listen to great broadcasting .
