I have to tell you that it really and truly hurts to tell this story but it must be told as a part of Black History of Winston Salem North Carolina of how our own Blacks in power have succumbed to doing the white man's business in hurting and destroying Black communities.
Realizing everyone has flaws but as years pass and you begin to put things together like a puzzle of why Blacks are not improving or being homeowners and doing well that just maybe the Blacks we come to respect are doing to Blacks what happened to Blacks in colonization. In any evil white deeds towards blacks they have to have what I call black enablers or enforcers. The insider.
In the pursuit of life and liberty Blacks vote Black politicians in and faithfully attend black churches , attach themselves to black groups and organizations and put an extreme amount of trust in their Black leaders thinking they could never do anything wrong. Even when we read of the devilment they tend to get themselves entangled in.
Most Black people will take the ills of our people to the grave in hopes that things will get better. I must say that I'm different while I'm confused and disillusioned. I refuse to allow cognitive dissonance set in my spirit.
As I examine the pattern over many years of Black Greeks in Power and what has happened and what continues to happen in Winston Salem NC to the destruction of the Black communities. Keep in mind that I'm speaking on what I'm witness to.
There was a point in time that I called the BBs (greek enforcers) the true destroyer of the Black community. If Queen B wanted property the Bs would continue to cite Black people out of their property. Now mind you these folks would go out of their way and use many resources to help white communities repair their dilapidated homes of 120 years but at the same time bulldoze their black people homes down then they sometimes would purchase some of the properties- use taxpayers dollars to renovate and rent through Section 8 . #Perks of being a good Black #enabler.
The Black community lost far too many homes but the white man gained all that property. Once the city owned it and they had forced out so many Black Investors Contractors,Realtors and Construction companies with new rules and policies then things were freed up for the white realtors and contractors to gain the advantage over Black people again (systemic racism) #Destruction of Black Communities.
I write this because the same #pay to play tactics are being used by whites again and our Black representatives are willing partners.
For many years I've been receiving the disappointments in several Black Leaders and they just seem to be Greeks and I can only be honest to the ones that have confided in me for years as I have become weary of defending our leaders is to say find more candidates and vote them out.
I must take this moment to say there was only one Black Leader that people are truly happy with and they get a true and honest pass from me and their constituents in Winston Salem.
We are facing another issue in the Black community with ADUs without any restrictions and because they have systematically bulldozed a huge amount of once Black-owned properties they are willing to forego any type of restrictions but in the white communities they will be addressing only their concerns.
