Neither was I nor my section group was part of this . We did not participate in the Hanes Mall part of the Protest either. When we were all together and the young men came over the began chanting 'Eff Da Police' and more. I immediately look at the confused group and began to the top of my voice chanting 'WE COME IN PEACE-WE COME IN PEACE!' and the entire group follow suit. One of the young men walked over to me and ask 'Do you want us to Rock this? I told him 'Oh Nooooo you get in step with the group' and he went back beside his other masked friend. They stood there talking amongst each other as to be planning something but we kept on with our peacefully protest. My group section stay on the corner while most left to go to the mall . Anyone that knows me know that I do not walk far due to physical limitations. With all things such as this you are bound to get some rabble rousers. As far as the entire protest it went very well. And the rambunctiousness of the young men were not life threathening. City Manager Lee Garrity; “I did talk to Ms. Porter right at the beginning of the event, but there was no formal coordination,” Garrity said, adding that he saw no violations taking place while he was at the scene. It is those elections that we elect the very folks that have changed our regressive and Obstructionist Laws that has hurt Black People and low income people the most and yet we can't get people out to vote them out. ____

10 Our Community has been systematically and gravely omitted from the money pots of the City of Winston Salem over the past 30 years that only if we are earmarked for a substantial amount for improvements,that we will encourage our Voters in this Community to vote for such a Bond. Scorecard tackles Winston-Salem's potential bond issue Scorecard panelists give a ranking of 1 to 10 on an event in the news, with 10 being the most favorable rating. Scorecard looks at one event this week: Winston-Salem City Council members reach preliminary consensus Monday on a $175-million bond issue, most of which would be put before the voters this fall. The bonds would be used for needs ranging from police stations to public parks.

Democrats to stand up and DEFEND Obamacare

I find this to be so sad that we that voted President Barack Obama in office and he has delivered most of what he campaigned on and encouraged us to vote in 2010 so that he could continue to do well for us and we let him down but now seemingly we want to blame him and cast a shadow on his good work. This is a prime example of how we became slaves. We never stood up for ourselves and what was right for us. It's like there some Religious Boogey man that we are afraid of. They are going to kill you or shall I say die eventually regardless of which way you lean but I know this ,my conscience would never allow me to be as cowardliness as I have seen in my people as to not come out in droves and VOTE. Republicans are having a field day lying and we are not responding knowing they are lying, but I guess this is what has always happen in our history. I expect this out of white people but not from people of color realizing that our behavior of in-actions now will set us back 100 years. Just Don't Complain. Just Don't Complain
