MY OPINION OF THEIR OPINION-

So I just happened to read the Letter to the Editor column and found that a local pastor commenting on how we should allow the Salvation Army's Shelter to come in to East Winston.
First I want to say that most of the time all the people that speak like this may work in East Winston but they do not live in East Winston. There are many Pastors that think differently about folks here that come through the day time to service the folks of East Winston and I see the people on their best behavior and what I call 'pulling one over on the church'. lol.
I am a avid people watcher and when in meetings I particularly watch people that claim to be of the Faith.
Also I like to film while observing.
On two occasions I have watched this Pastor become irritated at one of his own longtime parishioners while we were at another Church we were attending a Voters Education session. It was deplorable to me and changed my mind about this Pastor.
This parishioner was merely doing what many & myself do while in agreement or disagreement is to shake ,nod, verbally agree, or make that sometime unnnhun sound . The Parishioner was sitting close to this Pastor and I noticed this Pastor's body language which exhibited irritation to the point that he got up and moved to another seat in digust. Now mind you this is his parishioner that he could have very well whispered to them to stop because maybe he could not hear or concentrate on what the instructor was saying.

The next time I was in this Pastors presence was at a Town hall meeting and again I was sitting behind him and filming as usual .
When certain folks would say something that he did not agree with his body language began to look like a white lady swinging her hair back in place.
It again was a huff & puff body language that was so unbecoming of a tolerant My People Keepers Pastor.

Asking most Black Pastors in East Winston- What are you doing that is equivalent to what the white saviors like Salvation Army is doing for your own Black people? This is why they feel free to come into and do what you are not willing to do.
So you call yourself your People Keepers HUH? How?

Also this Pastor has not attended any of the Vision Strategy Meetings with the Community of East Winston to share in our Dreams & Hopes for a more Economically sound East Winston. I ask that he grab the East Ward Area Plan Book and see the Awesome work of the People and why we can not veer off from the Approved Plan.
Maybe Jesus will come Back to his Soul.

The programs can work if there is oversight on the very people that help themselves to what they are to give or implement for the Poor. The Government Leaders, Staff & Employees make use of all the tools they are to use to diminish Poverty & Disparity in Neighborhoods. WHY WOULD ANY ORGANIZATION DO A GRAVE DISSERVICE TO PEOPLE THEY CLAIM TO WANT TO HELP BY PUTTING THEM IN AN AREA THAT IS CRIME INFESTED. WE (COMMUNITY) WITH OUR MASTER & AREA PLANS COULD RESOLVE OUR ISSUES OVERTIME BUT NOT WITH THEM THRUSTING MORE PROBLEMS ON US? THEY ARE AGGRESSIVELY SEEKING PROPERTIES TO BUYOUT IN THIS AREA. SOUNDS POLITICAL? WHICH POLITICAL PARTY WOULD BE DOING THIS? RESPECT THE RESIDENTS WISHES & PLANS!!!!!! THE WELL TO DO COMMUNITIES COULD ELEVATE A HOMELESS PERSON BETTER THAN WE CAN AND FASTRACK THEM INTO SELF SUSTAINABILITY . EVIDENTLY THIS IS NOT THEIR MISSION. THINK TWICE ABOUT BIG ORGANIZATIONS AND WHERE YOU GIVE YOUR MONEY FOLKS. I KNOW THEY HAVE MANY OF US EMPLOYED. SO DID DONALD STERLING.

IS EAST WINSTON THE NEXT BALTIMORE?

WE ARE EXPERIENCING THE ILLS OF SOCIETY IN THIS AREA AS WELL. THE MEDIA IS REPORTING THE FEAR OF POTENTIALLY OTHER CITIES GOING THROUGH WHAT FERGUSON, CHARLESTON SC, & BALTIMORE HAS GONE THROUGH. THE PEOPLE ARE AWARE THAT THIS CITY HAS SEVERELY NEGLECTED IT AND WE HAVE YOUTHS THAT OVER THE YEARS NOT BEING ABLE TO WORK OR HAVE THOSE STRUCTURED AMENITIES THAT I SPOKE OF OVER THE YEARS. OUR TEENS CANNOT AFFORD TO CATCH A BUS TO GO TO THE ACTIVITIES THAT PARKS & RECREATION HAVE FOR YOUTHS. OUR YOUTH ARE RESORTING TO VANDALISM ,LARCENY, DRUGS, AND MOST YOUTH RELATED CRIMES. WE HAVE KIDS SHOOTING PEOPLE IN THE FACES & LIMBS WITH BB GUNS IN AREA NEARBY. THESE KIDS PARENTS SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE , THEY NEED STRUCTURE, THEY NEED JOBS. RECENTLY WE HAVE ASKED FOR HELP & WE HAVE ASKED FOR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS SINCE 2005. AND NOW A BIG CORPORATION (SALVATION ARMY) CONTINUE TO MOVE MORE UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
