THIS COMMUNITY WORKED LONG AND HARD ON A BETTER LIFE
The director wasn't honest when I ask how many she was bringing. During the meeting she had her story together when confronted about too many guests. I started to ask the ladies (residents) of Salvation Army to excuse themselves but decided to ask Sergeant & other officers to stay for the duration. I knew it was going to get ugly as soon as the eye-rolling, neck-swirling -oh don't forget the finger twirling.
Our first speaker was the WS Police Department enlightening us on our area crime. OMG they began attacking his reporting and asking him of his department's judgement on a case they knew about. hummm? Two of them jumped up and the body language began-(Sista mean) I had to ask for Civility in the meeting about 8 times with a fellow member coming to the aid to control one end of the room. Now I know why that Councilman said "NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD"!
We have enough Shelters in East Winston Salem NC (18) and it's time for all those Christians to do Gods work and work on rebuilding & lifting theses souls.
It is Hypocritical to say that you are about the business of God when you wait on others to do what you should do. lol.
This is when snooty Churchfolks behave like these ladies did. smh.
By the way they were already near a Church! What? ,they couldn't stand it either and now there is a new rule devised to move the ladies and children rather than men. Something is fishy about the whole thing. Sanitizing seems to me.
East Winston citizen worked almost 2 years on an Area Plan. It was Adopted and Approved by both Planning and City Council.
(More on who advised the Planning Department to contact as many citizens as they could to prevent us from showing up at the first Public Meeting.)
lol. We fooled them.
Also discouraged the residents of Cleveland Ave homes not to support us with their petitions but Salvation Army is allowed to solicit petitions .
